The crop planted last year was a huge success for attracting wildlife.
Many hundreds of sunflowers raised their heads above the oilseed rape, barley, wheat, kale and meadow grasses to entice the birds and insects.
Passers-by stopped to acknowledge the beauty of the sunflowers and the number of birds and insects hovering.
The oilseed rape pods where left and the seeds fed the
finches through the harsh winter when snow covered for weeks.
This year we have planted more wildlife crop to hopefully
attract even more species.
